TERMS & CONDITIONS OF HIRE
1. Bookings must be paid for in advance. The deposit must be sent with the completed booking form and
payment in full is to be made no later than one month before the date of your booking. If you are
making a last minute booking, i.e. within one month of your chosen date, payment and deposit must be
made in full at the time of completing the booking form. Hall bookings are not confirmed until full
payment is received. There may occasionally be special agreements made with the Committee or the
committee's representative.
2. The hirer must inform the club of the numbers attending the event for which the hall is being booked;
this is to ensure that the event is adequately staffed. The hirer shall include the payment for each extra
member of staff required for the event at the time of booking.
3. The Hirer is liable for all breakages and damage to the premises caused by any guest attending their
event. The Hirer shall indemnify the Club for the cost of repair of any damage done to any part of the
property, including the curtilage thereof or the contents of the buildings, which may occur during the
period of the hire. The Hirer shall be responsible for making arrangements to insure against any third
party claims which may lie against him or her (or the organisation if acting as a representative) whilst
using the premises. (The premises are insured against any claims arising out of the Clubs’ own
negligence).
4. No event can continue beyond 11.00pm Sunday to Thursday, and midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.
All music must have ceased by 11:45pm on Friday and Saturday nights. **A temporary licence
may be applied for at an extra cost to you the hirer at the prevailing rate as charged by the local council
at the time. For any extension granted all music must have ceased by the time agreed by the local
council or no later than 12:30am. Please try to ensure minimal disturbance to local residents
particularly when leaving the hall late at night.
5. As the hirer, it is your responsibility to help the Club to adhere to the rules laid down by the local
council in relation to the prevention of public nuisance. This entails keeping the music level in the
Hall to a reasonable volume and ensuring that all windows and doors are kept shut during your
function.
It also entails ensuring that guests at your function leave the premises in a quiet and orderly
manner to avoid disturbing our local residents.
Failure to adhere to this will result in the loss of your deposit, and in some instances may
result in your suspension from the Club.
6. It is very important, and the responsibility of the Hirer to ensure, that the capacity of the hall is not
exceeded. Because it is the law, failure to comply could result in police action.
