8. Preparation and clearance of the hall is the responsibility of the Hirer. The Hall should be left as one 
would wish to find it. Brooms and a vacuum cleaner are available for use. Tables and chairs must be 

put back to the way they were found. YOU WILL NEED TO PROVIDE YOUR OWN BIN BAGS 
All rubbish MUST be removed from the hall, including the kitchen waste bin contents. We have our 

own waste disposal wheelie bin outside of the Club Kitchen (under the kitchen window). DO NOT 
PUT RUBBISH IN THE WHEELIE BIN OUTSIDE THE HALL EMERGENCY DOORS ON 

THE CAR PARK SIDE, THIS IS FOR CARDBOARD AND CANS ONLY.


9. If cleaning is required then the Club will be happy to arrange for the hall to be cleaned for you, we will 
keep your deposit amount and use it to pay for cleaners to come into the hall the morning after your 

event. Please advise the Club Secretary at least 5 days in advance if this is required.


If for any reason (other than previously agreed with the Club Secretary) the hall is not left 
exactly as it was found then the Club will retain the deposit amount on the hall.


10. If the number of guests attending your function exceeds the numbers indicated on the booking form, the 
Club may, at its discretion, bring in extra staff to cope with the numbers. You will then be charged for 

this extra staffing requirement by a deduction of the necessary fee from your deposit. . If extra staff are 
not available at short notice and the staff on duty are put under undue pressure to cope with the 

numbers then you may still be charged the cost of the extra bar staff.


11. Following the adherence to all the terms and conditions, the refundable deposit will be returned to the 
hirer on the Monday 1 week following the completion of the event for which the hall was hired.


12. To comply with Health & Safety regulations the Hirer of the hall must ensure that all electrical 

equipment to be used on the Club’s premises is covered by an up to date Portable Appliance Test 
(PAT) certificate. This includes all electrical equipment that will be used by any DJ/Band that the hirer 

is using for their event. Also, any entertainer must have a certificate of “Public Liability Insurance” that 
must be presented to the Club either prior to the event or on the day of the event. Failure to comply 

with this request may result in your performer/entertainer not being allowed to perform on the Club’s 
premises.


13. For all events and functions in the hall, two responsible attending adults must be nominated on 

the attached Supplementary Form, and should make themselves known to the bar 
manager/committee member on arrival at the event/function.


14. Children are allowed into the club premises but should be kept under parental supervision at all times. 

They are not permitted to enter the Club Lounge area at any time.


15. The Hirer shall ensure that any activities for children under 8 years of age comply with the provisions 
of the Children’s Act of 1989 and that only fit and proper persons have access to the children.


16. The Club will provide “SMOKERS” with a designated smoking area outside the building for that 

purpose. Smoking is ONLY permitted in this designated smoking area.


17. The Club will make every effort during normal opening hours to arrange early access to the Hall for its 
preparation etc. at no extra cost to the hirer. Preparation time required outside of normal opening hours 

attracts a fee. Arrangements must be made through the Club Secretary.

18. All accidents and breakages MUST be reported to the Bar Manager/Club Secretary as soon as possible. 

Accidents must be recorded in the Accident Book located behind the bar.


19. All decisions by the Committee, or their appointed representative, shall be final, and accepted along 
with these rules, as part of the conditions of hire.


20. Please remember the legal age to purchase alcohol is 18 years old. It is an offence to sell alcohol to a 

minor or to purchase alcohol on behalf of a minor and anyone caught doing so is liable to a substantial 
fine as is the club. We will ask anyone we suspect to be underage for ID. This must be photographic 

ID. Please be prepared to be asked and be gracious about the reasons why you are asked. If we believe
